Waterfront - York and Queens Quay

Description

You look over to the York Quay..

The Queens Quay Terminal is located immediately to your east. The newly renovated, green-gray building stands out amongst the older, less attractive waterfront structures. The York Quay Center and its outdoor pond, which converts to a skating rink during the winter months, is also on your east side. Directly to the south is the Du Maurier Theater Center and The Power Plant Art Gallery which can host any number of music and performing art shows. The Molson Place is a large gazebo-like structure that hosts larger music and performance art in an outdoor venue. On the other side of a small bridge which crosses a private dock, are some older wooden buildings which houses a restaurant or two and some shops for the tourists and boaters. The Police Marine unit is also located here. The Radisson Plaza Hotel Admiral is also located here and within is a marine atmosphere with the decor to match in keeping with the quay's feel.
