Wraith - The Jade Empire
From Metro Wiki
How the Mighty have Fallen
Chinatown.
Toronto, Canada.
For as years as Chinatown has held itself amongst Toronto, so has Chinatown been home to the Dark Kingdom of Jade. So deep within Stygian territory it has been vigorous to maintain, a hardship to hold, and a hastle to keep true to the tenets of the Jade Emperor.
When the Sixth Great Malestrom began Chinatown became a beacon of hope. A place so distant from the destruction that the Jade Empire saw Chinatown as refuge, a place where the Jade Empire knew it's people, under the guidance of the Jade Emperor, could go to survive. Perhaps the Emperor knew this? In his eternal vigilance and wisdom, which is why Chinatown was kept regardless it's high maintanance.
The Jade Empire became a staunch supporter of aiding it's outlying Kingdoms from the Malestrom. Swar(India), suffered the most and it was the Immortal Guard who took them upon their relic boats to Chinatown, to refuge and salvation for their continued existance.
Then Stygia declared war on the Jade Empire. The Naval vessels of Stygia raised their banners of war and assaulted a ship carrying refugee's from Swar, along with His Holiness The Chamberlin, and destroyed hundreds of souls. The Jade Emperor realized that war, was inevitable, and the centuries old corpusfeud between the two greatest empires began once more.
Toronto, since the Sixth Malestrom, has been a Free City. The western barbarians had shunted the Stygian Legions, allowing Chinatown to flourish. The Refugee's put up their vendor wares and began to exist as they always have within this foreign land, a home away from home, supported by the Yellow Springs.
Then the Hierarchy returned. It's massive Legions gave the ultimatum of convert or die to all the Hungry Dead, even their own and the banner of Stygia flew in Toronto once more. Chinatown, was not left out of the ultimatum, all Jades, Swarans and otherwise were branded into the Stygian Legions, though they were allowed to live as they do, so long as Stygian Law is upheld.
Is this treason, to the Jade Emperor and his Empire? Do you stand for the conversion? To let Stygia wave it's authority, it's barbarism like a hammer over the head? Or do you believe that Stygia deserves to fall, to be reduced to ash, Charon be damned for the Jade Emperor is the true lord of the dead.
