Description
Tattered and torn, green padded leather covers the door. Several rivets have gone AWOL and cotton spews from the holes in miniature eruptions of padding. At the edges there are small streaks of blackened wadding where rats have torn away the fluffy stuff for their nests. There is a single square window embedded within the upper portion of this portal. It is completely opaque, whether this is from grease, road grime or plain old smoke from the clientele is anyone's guess.
Overhead a green metal lamp shade houses a glowing incandescent bulb. The light burns with a constant flicker that would drive a surge suppression engineer mad. A wooden sign hangs at an angle from the brick as one of its two screws has completely rusted through. The Dubliner reads across its surface in nearly faded lettering of a fifties style script. A slimy rusty door knob awaits a twist.
