The Devil is in the Details
You died. A horrible death that shouldnt have come so soon. Plauged by a voice that never quits, and hampered by soldiers you dont know, claiming Legion upon all of the Shadowlands the Passions stirred in you too much. One Passion above all, you could not let go idly into the Night, to eat at it sparingly like other Restless do. You defied your Legion, your Laws, and even your own soul, and made a deal with your own Devil. The Shadow is a tempting fiend, and he and a few friends have given you the key to return to flesh.
Now you are dead wrapped in mortal flesh. A Risen, a Zombie, the Walking Dead. Fueled by that one passion and returned to the land of the living to complete that one, powerful passion. How will you end it, and just /what/ did you pay in the long run?
The Walking Dead
As a Risen, you are a Wraith who has been given a great opportunity that not many have found. A chance to right, or wrong, something. To fulfill a passion that breathes in you like trees exert oxygen. Your arsenal is hampered, but your undead husk gives far more in comparison. Many dont quite get, just WHY you return to a place full of Angst that would make any Shadow giddy with joy, but no one would really understand would they? Afterall, they arent YOU.
Risen and Metro
Risen on Metro follow a specific set of Guidelines that must be adhered to and followed in order to remain allowed to keep the PC.
- Availability - Risen /will/ have Plotfoo, as all Supers do. You will need to have a good set of availability in order to apply and stay within the Subsphere.
- Adherence to Theme - Risen /always/ have an ulterior motive to everything. And that is their Driving Passion. While this isnt too terribly hard, many Risen dont sit and BarRP without the ulterior motive of seeking out a way to fulfill their Driving Passion /or/ another Passion for Pathos. This isnt a bad thing, or heavily restrictive, but Risen are /severly/ close to a one-track mind and it takes a LOT to get them to sway otherwise. Just an FYI.
- A Wraithly Background - No Risen started as a Risen. They began as a wraith. Wraith Staff would like to see the background of your character, adjusting to it's society and either finding a place within, or being one of the rebellious Factions outside the Hierarchy before your Shadow began it's temptations. Consider this: Make a Wraith, then in the last few pages, explain your Rising.
- Time with your Wraith buddies - Just cuz you Rose, doesnt mean you cant Return. Risen can dump their bodies and return to the Shadowlands for a variety of reasons, but they usually dont stay too long for many reasons. Every /once/ in a while, hop back where you came from and say hello. :D
Risen Character Creation
All Risen Characters are generated as Wraiths, per Wraith: The Oblivion 2nd Edition. A Summary as well as Risen specifics are detailed below.
- Stats
- Attributes: 7/5/3
- Abilities: 13/9/5
- Backgrounds: 5
- Arcanoi: 5
- Passions: 10
- Fetters: 10
- Merits/Flaws: 7 Max in each
- SPECIAL NOTE:
You must choose a Conduit at Character Creation. Shadow Chargen will still be conducted by Wraith Staff The Deal made with the Shadow must be discussed with Wraith Staff
- Alterations:
Risen are allowed the following Vampiric Disciplines as well as Arcanoi at Chargen. Note however that during character creation you many only spend Freebie points on these disciplines, not starting dots.
