The lakeside amusement park and recreation centre expands out beyond the front gates and parking lot. Asphalt paved roads for walking only lead off into various sections of the park. One branches off to the children's amusement centre where a variety of games, playgrounds and obstacle courses are set for younger kids to play in. For older visitors there are waterslides, a miniature golf course, a paddleboats and bumper-boats which can be taken out into the lake for a stroll. Restaurants and souvenir shops are located near the entrance and in other designated areas. The Molson Amphitheater is located near the amusement park at the centre of Ontario Place. Concerts and shows regularly perform there, ranging from classical music to modern rock and alternative bands.
In the summer time, this place is a constant bustle of activity. Hundreds of tourists and local Torontians come down to see the new shows, ride the new rides and enjoy the great outdoors. Ontario Place provides entire picnic areas for families to sit and relax for an afternoon.
