Description

This is a run-down four-story building. The door is made of solid steel. Over the door is a sign in neon lights that reads 'Kink'. During operating hours, there is always one bouncer checking IDs. Kink is a low-class top-less strip-club. No frills. The dancers do usually wear a 'themed' outfit before stripping--they're typically the normal stripper outfits, such as 'Catholic schoolgirl', 'Cheerleader', 'French maid' and 'Nurse', along with the usual platform heels or go-go boots. Men are encouraged by the DJ to tip the girls while they're dancing. The waitresses are also dressed minimally, with platform heels or go-go boots, plaid mini-skirts and crop-top shirts with the word 'Kink' written on it. If the bartender is female, she'll be wearing the same outfit as the waitresses; if the bartender is male, he'll be wearing jeans and a t-shirt with the name of the club on it. Much like the dancers, the waitresses do put up with some level of abuse--getting pinched or slapped on the ass, but if a patron gets too pushy or too physical and the waitress doesn't like it, they will call in a bouncer to deal with the problem.

  • Private lap-dances are also available, but cost ten dollars--the customers are generally allowed to touch the dancers, up to their comfort level, but the dancers can touch the customers as they like. If the customer gets too frisky and a dancer complains, the bouncers will typically throw them out.
  • Kink is a strip-club which serves alcohol. There is a five dollar cover charge to enter. The club is open from 11 AM until 5 AM. Between the hours of 2am and 5 am Kink is a 'juice' bar. It is closed from 5 AM until 11 AM. Even if the front door is not locked OOCly, please assume it is locked ICly. Kink is a 19 and up club. There is only one way to get into Kink without a valid ID proving age--you must have a fake ID that looks passable, you must look roughly 19. Those who have cheap or poorly done fake ID's will have to bribe the bouncer at least 20 dollars. Those with more expensive IDs may pass muster.
  • Kink does not serve food. It does have a variety of drinks, mostly of the cheap and low quality kind, though such drinks are certainly overpriced for what the buyer is getting. There are small 'snack foods' here as well, such as bowls of peanuts and pretzels and the like.

History

  • January 2, 2001: A fire alarm was pulled in the early morning, shortly before dawn, causing the evacuation of the club. There was no sign of fire or smoke.

Other Info

  • TOURISTS: Tourists are anyone who looks too high-class for the establishment and appears to be just 'slumming it', are usually given the cold-shoulder and made to feel unwelcome by the NPC patrons and staff, unless they're somehow well-connected. Tourists include: Frat boys, wall-street types, journalists, and just about anyone who isn't in the lower dregs of society, etc. NPC patrons will stare at 'tourists' with obvious disgust, or ignore them entirely, even when a PC talks to them. 'Tourists' might find their pockets picked by NPCs, or NPC patrons constantly, 'accidentally' bumping into them. If a 'tourist' is particularly annoying, NPC patrons may even pick a fight with them(and the bouncers will usually side with the regular patrons). 'Tourists' will feel uncomfortable, unwanted, as outcasts--think 'black man in an all-white pre-Civil Rights rural Southern town'. Please pose/RP accordingly. On the flip side, a 'tourist' who keeps a very low profile will probably go unmolested. Police are obviously considered 'tourists' and are very much given the cold-shoulder, but are generally left unmolested.
  • BOUNCERS: There are at least four bouncers on duty at Kink at all times when the club is open. If a patron is becoming rowdy, bothering the girls, highly intoxicated or is otherwise a nuisance, they will eject that person swiftly and firmly. Four of the bouncers are stationed at the following locations: the front entrance, the door to the office, the door to the back room and the door to the staircase. The bouncers are generally dressed in leather jackets, jeans and white t-shirts with the words "Bouncer" written on them. If a fight breaks out with the bouncers, some NPC patrons may also take the side of the bouncers. Feel free to pose yourself being thrown out of the club by the bouncers, if warranted, but if you're actually trying to fight the bouncers(and expect to win), you'll need to contact Staff
  • BACKROOM: The back room is the closest thing to a 'VIP' lounge that the Kink has. Access to the 'back room' is gained through three ways: 1) A customer asks for a 'VIP' lap dance. While the usual lap dance in the main room costs ten dollars, a 'VIP' lap dance costs a minimum of fourty dollars per ten minutes. The details of a 'VIP' lap dance are generally unspoken, though through word of mouth, it's clear it involves an all-nude lap dance as well as free access to the very limited wet-bar inside the back room(for the duration of the time bought in the back room). 2) A customer asks to use the back room for a 'meeting'. This costs fifty dollars per person per hour. Dancers will not accompany a customer who wants to use the back room for a meeting; the customer and their friends are afforded total privacy. 3) Free access to the back room is given to a PC by the owner of the club.
