Feudal Hierarchy

• The count has final say on anything and everything within the county. This can only be overturned by a Duke or the Queen.
  • The seer, sheriff, bard, thane, and reeve all work directly for the count, though they are certainly a more ready resource to the PCs than the count himself is.
• The baron(ess)s have final say on anything and everything within their barony. Their rulings can, however, be overturned by the count.
  • The seer, sheriff, bard, thane, and reeve may sway the count's opinion, but they cannot directly overturn any decisions made by the baron(ess)s within their own barony.
  • The University baron(ess) has slightly more sway with the count than the North York baron(ess).
• Within the central area of the city (that is anything that isn't a part of either barony), the baron(ess)s are expected to keep order.
  • Either baron(ess) can make decisions and suggestions. Neither one may overturn the other's decision, but they can certainly appeal to the count to do so.
  • Alternately, the baron(ess)s can work together to make decisions if they so desire.
