The Lantern of the Boatmen's Society
For many years the Boatmen's Society of the Ferryman have been lucrative, secretive and elusive. They have always given unparalleled protection in travel from place to place, and have stood as the vanguard of Charon's dream. But the dream is broken, the Boatmen's Society is all that is left of the remnants of the First Ferryman, and now they too suffer hardship.
The wake of the war seeps on all souls, even those so detached. The Boatmen's Society has never before been needed to stand as what it means to be a protector of the restless dead against the Void. Oar in hand they are what is needed. But to do so, means to defy the tenents of the Ferryman.
But a spare few. A spare few, remember what it means to be a Ferryman. You are one of those individuals.
Cracks in the Oar
The Ferryman have split into two major factions due to these trying times. Ferryman who stick to the Code, and the ones that follow their 'original' duty as ushurers and protectors of the dead beyond their reedboat.
Belize, a wise Ferryman of old leads the campaign of Ferryman who remember, who see where they are needed most, and not to wait idly by in a boat as the Void wrecks its campaign. Many say he is a saint, others say he is a mere Renegade with the Ferryman's garbs, some say he is Charon Reborn. No one knows. Yet to take up arms against Stygia means a shadowy figure lurks in your darkness, watching your moves, and willing to take the same strides to ensure your failure.
Ferryman Guidelines
- Ferryman are almost unstoppable opponents. Their capability to bypass Harrowings makes them terrifying as they are unbalancing. Therefore, Ferryman slots are invitation only and will require QUITE the delicious backstory.
- All ferryman must apply using as base the Template 2 rules and above. This FC does count against total Template slots available.
